Project Overview
Dubner Landscaping & Construction was contracted to revitalize the 8th-floor terrace at 1585 Broadway, the global headquarters of Morgan Stanley, transforming it into a functional and inviting outdoor dining space for employees. This renovation balanced aesthetics, sustainability, and practicality by incorporating custom seating, extensive greenery, and structural enhancements that complement the tower’s modern design.
Key features of the renovation include trellises, fans, and shaded seating areas to enhance comfort, alongside planters, green walls, and a diverse mix of trees, shrubs, grasses, perennials, and vines to introduce a natural retreat within the urban landscape. Dubner also installed a comprehensive irrigation system, drainage solutions, and lightweight topsoil to ensure long-term plant health and sustainability. Additional elements such as metal planter edging, fiberglass interior planters, an egress gate, and litter receptacles contributed to the terrace’s functionality and ease of maintenance.
By integrating thoughtful design, expert craftsmanship, and sustainable planting solutions, Dubner successfully transformed the 1585 Broadway 8th-floor terrace into a modern, revitalized outdoor space, providing Morgan Stanley employees with a serene environment for dining, relaxation, and connection.
