Project Engineer (Westbury, NY)

Estimate and prepare bids by analyzing blueprints and specifications.
Pro-actively identify discrepancies and issue RFI to design teams to ensure clarity and alignment on project details.
Engage with suppliers and subcontractors to compile comprehensive cost proposals.
Utilize construction estimating software like PlanSwift, and HCSS HeavyBid.
Attend bid walk-through, scope review meetings, and participate in contract negotiations.
Collaborate with project management to transition awarded projects from Estimating to the Project Team and manage the buyout of major subcontractors and vendors.
Coordinate with project managers, site foremen, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution and pro-actively mitigate potential schedule delays.
Work with owners, construction managers, architects, and engineers to evaluate value engineering options, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. $102086/yr.

Requires a master’s degree in Civil Engineering and 24 months experience as a Project Engineer.

Role Description
The Payroll Administrator is a full-time, on-site role based in Westbury, NY. This role is responsible for processing weekly payroll for firld employees, ensuring accuracy in hours, wages, and deductions. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing abd processing union and non union payroll, administering employee benefits-related payroll entries, and maintaining up-to-date payroll records. The Payroll Administrator will reconcile payroll reports with accounting systems, respond to employee payroll inquiries, and collaborate with HR and management to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. The role also involves supporting audits, improving payroll processes, and maintaining confidentiality of employee information.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated skills in Payroll Administration, including accurate processing, recordkeeping, and compliance.
  • experience with union payroll and union remittances
  • Experience managing Garnishments and related deductions in accordance with legal requirements.
  • Knowledge of Payroll Taxes
  • Ability to handle Employee Benefits entries
  • Foundational Accounting skills for reconciling payroll with general ledger and financial reports.
  • Proficiency with Paychex software and Microsoft Office (especially Excel); experience with construction or landscaping industry payroll is beneficial.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
