Project Overview

The ED Pavilion project was a site and civil construction project consisting of upgrading or adding all of the critical infrastructure utilities to facilitate the operation of a fully functional Emergency wing. In addition to the utilities we formed and poured the footings, piers and slab on grade. This scope also included an extensive site package which included paving, concrete work, concrete ramps and specialty installations.

The schedule for this project was extremely aggressive with only 120 calendar days from initial demo to hand-over.. quite the accomplishment. Despite the complexities, including the necessity of maintaining uninterrupted hospital services during major upgrades and reconfigurations, our team successfully delivered the project on time and within scope.

Project Overview

Spanning more than six-acres on Manhattan’s East Side from 38th to 41st Street east of First Avenue, Field of Light at Freedom Plaza featured an array of 18,750 lowlight, fiber-optic stemmed spheres that will illuminate with a slow subtle change of hue. Guests were fully immersed in the installation walked the winding path through the ethereal painted landscape framed by the city’s iconic skyline and the East River waterfront.

Dubner Landscaping and Construction served as the general contractor in transforming a vacant seven-acre site into a one of a kind artistic light display by British artist Bruce Munro.  Work included site grading, gravel pathways, sidewalks, emergency egress stair towers and elevated walkways, and the complete electrical infrastructure.
